Welcome to JohnRosbotham.com
Hi there. Welcome to my web site. Since March 2000 I have been living in Chamonix-Montblanc. For the last ten years I have been working winter and summer seasons around the world.
At the moment my site mainly comprises photos and short write-ups of my mountain life. Many coming from twelve months that I spent in Western Canada from October 2004 till October 2005.
I love the mountains for many reasons - the sports associated with them, the people drawn to them and not least their beauty. Hopefully through this site I can convey a little of what they mean to me.
In the future I would like to develop the site - learning very slowly as I go! Playing with the look of the site, maybe adding links to other sites I like and possibly expanding the text accompanying the photo diaries - Unlucky!! Although you don't have to read it all...

Hello.
Well, the weather has still been up and down, but not bad enough to dampen the biking too much.
Just before the weekend I got back from spending two weeks with Phil, Emma and Ollie down in Guillestre. Actually, except for a few days, the weather down there wasn't too bad at all - certainly letting us get in some great riding when we weren't 'busy' in the garden.
I'm in the process of sorting some photos from the trip and should be posting them soon. In the meantime there's a hill to climb [desperately trying to get as fit as possible before the cross country bike gets neglected as the the lift access opens up again...]
