Not a bad way to see in Christmas - opening a prezzie in the tub. Another duckie - soon to be part of a collection... |
We didn't have the tub to ourselves for long. |

I was actually at work Christmas morning, so missed out on the group photo and present opening session. As you can see - Mount Kokanee going strong above the fire. |

One of the great things about having a compact digital is I almost always have it in my pocket. These next few shots I have just because I had my camera with me. This is just a bit of practice for someone competing in the ice carving competition they have up at Chateau Lake Louise. |

Its a good job that its usually dark when I get back from work and that I'm not still using rolls of film - I could stand for hours looking at this view just a few meters from my front door. |
As its normally dark when I travel to and from work it was quite nice to get sent home after twenty minutes this morning - just wish I'd been able to stop the bus. At the moment I'm usually sorting out ski boots as the sun rises - and if thats the worst gripe I have I'm a very lucky person. |
Later I walked into town with Steve, one of my housemates. It was around lunch time - you know, approaching the warmest part of the day - note the nice frosting of the lashes... Not sure how cold it was up the mountain today but I don't think it got much above minus thirty down here. |
Fancy a dip? Cold it might be, but it was such a beautiful day I had to go for a walk at least. I followed the Bow River Trail - but not too far! Unfortunately the sun was right in my eyes most of the way - so this is about the best shot. I'm going to head back another time as you can get some great shots of the Banff Springs Hotel - you'll have to wait and see. |
